May 2022 sees the opening of a brand-new TOA Hotel & Spa in Pongwe. It will be a luxury bleisure property, located on the white-sandy beaches of the east coast of Zanzibar.
With 86 guests’ rooms, a large swimming pool surrounded with ocean views, three different bars, a restaurant, spa, sun deck and a gym, it has all the amenities to support business travellers on a bleisure break. The larger en-suite rooms also have balconies with private plunge pools.
The resort will offer a variety of fun activities such as snorkelling, diving, tours of a spice farm, historic tours of Stone Town as well as the Prison Island and swimming with turtles and dolphins.
