One-of-a-kind Olympics in Paris

Paris welcomes back the Olympics to their City of Lights – a century since they last played hosts to this prestigious event. The festivities are planned to kick off on the 24th of July 2024 and for the first time ever, the Opening Ceremony will not be held in a stadium – it will be held in the heart of Paris.

The Opening Ceremony will see athletes carried under the iconic bridges of Seine to showcase the country’s beauty and to celebrate the century past. “Rest assured; the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony will be nothing short of magical. Its staging will be ground-breaking. It will be a ceremony for the people, open to one and all. It will show the world the very best of France,” says Tony Estanguet, President of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

In addition to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, France will also host the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Courchevel and Méribel from February 6-19, 2023, as well as the Rugby World Cup from September 8-October 28, 2023.
