A mandatory vaccine passport will be rolled out in Costa Rica as of 01 December 2021. This will require travellers to make use of their Health Pass, also a requirement to enter the country, to gain access to any of the below establishments:

Locals will be able to use their local vaccine passport to access the same, but travellers will need the Health Pass or their government-issue vaccine cards.

This policy is being enforced especially over the festive season to curb any further Covid-19 surges in the country.
