City Lodge Hotel Group Goes Green!

The City Lodge Hotel Group has recently published its new, stringent Covid-19 policies and promises to ensure that you have a safe business trip or a family vacation with minimal risk, but this is not the only group-wide change they have adopted this year. The CLHG has announced that the group is going green!

The Hotel group, along with their South African supplier – The Bespoke Amenities Company or TBAC has launched an all-new, no-single-use-plastic amenities range – including a Zero Bar.

This new range of amenities products, found in the consumer’s room on arrival, will include the following:

Other products that will be available, if requested from reception, will include:

These changes are planned to launch in the next 6 months across all five hotel brands; Fairview Hotel in Kenya, Courtyard Hotel, City Lodge Hotel, Town Lodge, and Road Lodge.

The shift to a greener policy will ensure that the City Lodge Hotel Group which consists of 62 hotels across six countries, with 8070 rooms for business as well as leisure travel, will cut their plastic waste by 2 141 434 units per annum. The overall reduction of single-use plastic, and the total, as TBAC MD Bruce Turner puts it, “the cutting of the nonsense” shows that CLHG truly takes sustainability very seriously.
