The Maltese authorities have announced that they will require fully vaccinated travellers to acquire a booster shot to enter the country.
Travellers that have been vaccinated with either the Covishield, Sinopharm, or Covaxin vaccines will only be allowed into the country once they have received a booster shot made by either AstraZeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, or Janssen. South Africans also need to note that their vaccination certificates issued in South Africa are not yet recognised in Malta.
