AUSTRALIA’S INTERNATIONAL BORDERS TO GRADUALLY OPEN

National air carrier for Australia, Qantas, projects that the population of Australia should be 80% vaccinated by December – which should encourage both state and international border restrictions to ease.

The easing of restrictions, especially on international travel, will most definitely be a gradual process with focus on low-risk ‘green’ and ‘amber’ countries first; countries with high vaccination percentages.  There is no set date yet for travel specifically from South Africa, but mid-December should open routes between Australia and Singapore, the US, Japan, the UK, Canada, and Fiji.
