The hotel in Centurion, previously known as Protea Hotel, is undergoing a face-lift and revamp to reopen on 1 May 2021 as the ANEW Hotel Centurion. This refurbishment is a collaboration between the ANEW Hotels and Resorts group and the Fieldspace Property Group.

The collaboration stems from the shared values and hands-on approach that the two companies share.  Together, they’ve formed a dynamic and mutually beneficial relationship.

This property, ANEW’s 11th acquisition, will flaunt an extensive refurbishment of all public spaces such as lifts, restaurants and conferencing venues, as well as the rooms and apartments.

The ANEW group Brand and Marketing Manager encourages businesses to collaborate, to look for synergistic partnerships and ways to support one another during these difficult times of Covid-19. Clinton Armour, the ANEW CEO, attributes the company’s success to its people, and the values of the company; “During the lockdown period, we worked together to ensure our hotels were kept alive and that our staff retained their jobs. We wanted to keep our people positive, even without knowing what the financial situation would be like in the months to follow.”

Armour adds that although the pandemic has made a huge impact on the travel and tourism industry; through learning and experience, the industry will grow, improve and be back in full swing once more.
