A Party of Dreamers

It is no secret that Club Travel as a group and Club Travel Corporate as a division always seeks to invest in causes that contribute to the betterment and upliftment of people from all walks of life. We have been working with, and continue to support Reach For A Dream.  Recently we partnered with them in the second of two events hosted in Gauteng.

The Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus was the venue for the Kid’s Party arranged by Reach for a Dream. What could be more amazing for kiddies than balloons, cake, clowns, magicians, face painting and fun activities?

Bright eyes, broad smiles and excitement filled the room as the children arrived. The stage was set for what would be an epic day of fun. The children invited are all battling illness and the party sought to bring a little laughter and joy to what for most of them is a hard and difficult life at such a young age.

“Putting a smile on the children’s faces makes one feel fulfilled. Making a difference in someone’s life with something as small as a hug and playing with them makes them feel special. I enjoyed myself and have learned to appreciate that I have so much to be thankful for,” said Dineo Malete who attended the party.

Refiloe Foba, who also attended the event adds, “The kids were so appreciative of the effort made by Reach for a Dream and Club Travel Corporate. They were so happy and one could see, just for that moment, they had even forgotten they were ill. I think that it just makes a person realize how precious life is. What really touched my heart is the how strong the children are.  Even in their illness they were able to have fun and let loose a little bit, especially in light of the fact that the majority of them stay in the hospital and don’t live with their families due to their illnesses.”

We salute the brave souls who, despite facing life-threatening illness, continue to face each day with hope and resilience.
